Rich Cummins

Mr. Cummins has been a member of HAPO since 2002. He has served on the Board of Directors since 2012.

Mr. Cummins was President of Columbia Basin College before retiring in 2017. Starting his career there as a faculty member in 1990, he joined the administrative team in 1996, holding positions as the college’s distance learning director, technology dean, and instructional vice president. He was also the president of the Columbia Basin Advanced Technology Center. Prior to CBC, Cummins worked for the University of Arizona, John Hopkins University, and Pima Community College. He now works as a Senior Consultant for Academic Search recruiting executive talent for American colleges and universities.

Mr. Cummins holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Cincinnati, Master of Fine Arts from the University of Arizona, and Ph.D. from Gonzaga University. As an author, he has published one book and many articles and creative works in national journals.
